Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains how ImageUpscalerFree collects, uses, and protects your information.

Effective Date: September 2026

Introduction

Welcome to ImageUpscalerFree ("we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website and image upscaling services at imageupscalerfree.com.

By using our services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account (via Google OAuth), we collect:

Email address
Display name and profile picture (from your Google account)
Account creation date

Usage Data

We automatically collect certain information when you use our services:

IP address
Browser type and version
Device type and operating system
Pages visited and time spent
Referring website
Usage statistics (number of images processed)

Image Data

When you use our image upscaling service:

Your images are never uploaded. Upscaling runs entirely inside your browser
We never receive your images, so there is nothing for us to store, log or delete
No image history is maintained anywhere

How We Use Your Information

We use your information for the following purposes:

To provide and maintain our image upscaling service
To manage your account and track usage limits
To communicate with you about service updates
To provide customer support
To monitor and analyze usage patterns to improve our services
To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or unauthorized access
To comply with legal obligations

Image Processing

How Your Images Are Processed

When you upscale an image on ImageUpscalerFree:

Your browser downloads an open-source AI model the first time you use the tool
Your image is read by your own browser and never sent anywhere
The model runs on your own device, using your GPU where available
The result exists only in your browser tab until you download it

What We Do NOT Do

We do not receive, store or transmit your images
We do not maintain an image history or gallery
We do not use your images for AI training
We do not share your images with anyone, because we never have them
We do not analyze the content of your images

Third-Party Services

Image Processing

No third party is involved. The model runs inside your browser, so your image never reaches us or anyone else. The model file and the AI runtime are served from this domain rather than an external CDN, so opening the tool does not tell a third party that you did.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Vercel, which handles the technical information any web server receives in order to return a page: IP address, browser user agent and the URL requested.

Signing in is optional and is not required to use the upscaler. If you do sign in, authentication is handled by Google, and we receive your name, email address and profile picture.

Analytics

Plausible Analytics — aggregate traffic statistics. Sets no cookies and collects no personal data.
Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights — page views and page-performance measurements, collected without cookies.

Email

Messages you send through the contact form are delivered through our email provider so that we can reply.

We do not use advertising networks or cross-site tracking services. If that ever changes, this policy will be updated before the first advertisement is served.

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information:

Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
Secure third-party authentication (Google OAuth)
Regular security assessments
Access controls and authentication
Automatic deletion of image data after processing

However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Retention

Account Information: Retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for legal and business purposes
Usage Data: Retained for analytics purposes for up to 24 months
Image Data: Automatically deleted immediately after processing is complete

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
Correction: Request correction of inaccurate personal data
Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data and account
Data Portability: Request your data in a portable format
Objection: Object to certain processing of your data
Withdrawal of Consent: Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

To exercise these rights, please contact us at the email address provided below.

International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. These countries may have different data protection laws. By using our services, you consent to such transfers. We take steps to ensure your data remains protected in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Children's Privacy

Our services are not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" above.

We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
